Good evening, everyone-

I have been given several hundred rounds of .224 55 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip Spitzer bullets. I also have several tins of Varget powder. I'm looking for a good starting recipe for those two components put together in a .223 round. I also have a thousand Federal #205 small rifle primers, but I can use those elsewhere if a better primer might gain me improved performance.

Does anyone have a recommendation for the amount of powder for that bullet? I've searched online but I don't seem to be able to come up with much on the spitzer 55gn Ballistic Tip.

Thanks!

Use a starting load listed in any reputable manual for Varget and any 55 grain bullet and you will have a reasonable starting point.
