Who will believe it i shot a group consisting of 6 shots basicaly in the same hole at 100 yards with reloads , I personely would say no way , but I did the same thing to a 204 CZ with 3 shots group .150 of a inch my second time out with the gun .
Of interest I tried sierras and they shot about 3 inch groups The 40 grain Hornady V max are the ticket and 11 grain H110.
They build some kind of Gun

Yeah, well I still don't like them.

Great shooting! What was the overall length of your rounds? I had similar results, although not quite that good, with my CZ Hornet. I used Hodgdon's Lil' Gun and seated the 40gr. Hornady out closer to the rifling. I also used the Lee factory crimp die. I had four consecutive 100yd 5 shot groups that averaged .42" with the smallest coming in at .25"

I will try some Little Gun , I recieved yesterday some Barnes 40 grain and also some V Max in 35 grain. Headed down to the big city Weds. I can pick up a Case. to measure the length. to rifleing.Any other ideas on Powder? Why can The CZ shoot and I have so mush trouble with a Remington 700 BDL

I have a CZ too . Doesn't the ogive of the 40gn V Max reach down into the case neck if you load it short enough to go thru the magazine ?
Maximum length for the CZ magazine is about 1.75 .
Maximum recommended for the Hornet is 1.723 .

I loaded the Hornady 40 gr Vmax out to an OAL of 1.895". They will not feed from a stock magazine. I removed the spacer from the magazine and removed material from the back side of the spacer and reinstalled it. Then I built up the back of the magazine follower with epoxy equal to the amount I removed from the spacer. This allows the rounds to feed from the magazine. I believe there are detailed instructions for the magazine modifications on Saubier.com. You will have to search the archives there. Good luck--

I have not checked the length of what the depth the bullet should be as I have not recieved my stoney Point cases . I think my question is if it shoots this good , why would you change it?
I just bedded it lightly , I don't think it is going to jump out of the stock on impact of fireing a bullet.
Why would some one make a magazine like this one?

Can you answer I am running about 1926 on V Max bullet depth , I would not be seating the bullet very deep if I reduced it say 30 to 1895?

I think that is the best 100 yard group I have ever heard of from a stock factory Rifle in 22 Hornet caliber!
I wouldn't try ANY other loads with that Rifle myself. I would be doubly surprised if it bests that performance with another loading!
What scope do you have on your CZ in 22 Hornet?

Hey Bill, I'm simply in awe of that Hornet group you shot.

I wrestled with 22Hornets for 35years and never could get "consistent" accuracy, and NEVER a group approaching what you shot. I got rid of the last one before Lil'Gun and bullets lighter than 45gr, so my experience is "dated".

Anyway, I'd strongly encourage you to "Frame that Group" and keep it somewhere you keep your most prized possessions. It will bring many smiles for you in the future, especially if you keep a 22Hornet on hand.

We used to call them "Billfold Groups", but your group deserves more than that.

I own a Kimber-Of-Oregon model 82 Series "S" that will place bullets in almost the same hole @ 100 yards. The trigger pull and a good scope, has a lot to do with it, I think.

I think what is the most important one item is the luck of the draw! Do you get the good one or the bum one.I read about problems with all of them , it still is did you get the good one.

Years ago no one paid any attention to how many pounds of pull a gun had , we just did not know , I bet I missed 30 deer because I pulled off the Buck. A lot has changed. As far as I am concerned todays technology things are changing for the better, better guns, bullets every thing, you could not get this kind of information 50 years ago, todays forums are great most of the info is wonderfull a lot of good things are happening in the rifle business.
