I just got a screaming deal on a new Krieger 405/411 barrel,a Dave Kiff chamber reamer with RCBS dies, new brass, and 100 - 265gr cast lead Oregon Trails gas checked bullets. I have the new Hornady manual w/ the listed 405 loads but was wondering if anyone here has a load that I should try.I barreled up the #1 this past weekend and only have to stamp the barel and reblue the whole thing. I love the way it feels when I hold it up. that big barrel really feels good and I can hold it real steady compared to the short #2contour 7X57mm barrel I removed. I can't wait to warm it up a bit.
