Now that I have my Weatherby 338/06, I need a good load for the 210 Nosler Partition. I would prefer to use H4350, but am open to suggestions. I would like to find one load that will be used for everything.

Thanks,
Rob

62.0 grains of H4350 will give 2744fps in a 24" barrel.

I have loaded a bunch for my .338-06. I think H4350 is a bit slow for the 210grNP. I'm not sure you can even get 62gr in w/o some severe compression. I have tried 61gr RL19 & it comes into the neck even w/ some vibration. Vel. was only 2650fps. I like med. burners under the 210grNP. RL15 & IMR4320/53gr have given me good vel. 2750fps, w/ the best accuracy. Great caliber, you'll love it.

As much as I normally don't care for this powder, Win 760 does the best job in my Weatherby SBGM .338-06. 64.0 gr and a Sierra 215 SBT give me 2770 fps and 3/4 MOA consistently. That powder also does superbly with 250 gr Sierra SBT and 58.0 gr for 2540 fps.

Perhaps it might work well also with the Nosler bullet, altho my groups with the 180 and 200 gr BT were uninspiring (1-1/4 MOA).

My preference for a constant load is 50 grains of IMR 4064./
What I like about it, is with a 200 grain bullet to a 250 grain bullet, velocity is at 2500 fps. So if different weights of bullets are used the point of impact at 100 yrds does not have any real variation at all.

If I am looking for the velocity/accuracy combo, I use H 380 powder. 60 grains with a 250 grain bullet yields about 2650 to 2675 in a 24 inch barreled Winchester Model 70.

66 grains with a 225 grain will yield about 2750 to 2800 if everything is just right with the 24 inch Winchester of mine.

66 grains with a 200 grain bullet yields about 2900 fps.

I use Federal 210 primers, not the magnum 215s.

Accuracy has been excellent, less than minute of angel out to 300 yds, if the shooter ( me) has his act together for the afternoon.

Most any of the Med powders work well with the 338-06.Each rifle has it's likes and dislikes. My favorite for the 210 Part is Varget 56 gr w/CCI 200 primer 24 in BBL. Very accurate at 2730 fps. Check out favorite loads and do a search.
