Just picked up a cherry 375 pre 64 m 70. Would like to start out on elk and deer with 260 nosler partitions. What would you recomend? I was thinking reloder 15 starting with about 69 grains and working up to max.

RL-15 From 62.7 grains to 76.0 grains Remington 9-1/2M Primer But... H-4350 From 74.0 grains to 83.0 grains Remington 9-1/2M Primer Might be better...

4350 is a good recommendaton, but if you prefer ball powders, H-414 and WW 760 are also good with this weight of bullet. If you have trouble getting enough of these slower powders into the case to give you optimum velocity, 4064 would do a good job and leave a little powder space. I think the 260 Nosler Partition is a great choice, but if I were working up a new load I might want to give the new Nosler Accubond a try, also. IF it gave you better accuracy, you would also get a little better downrange retained velocity an slightly flatter trajectory, and its effectiveness on elk-sized hoofed game should be very similar to the Partition. It's also a couple of bucks cheaper.

I used 74 grs of Re 15 with the 260 gr Partition on two nice bulls. I could go to 76+ grs but this load is the most accurate in my rifle. This was in Winchester brass and used the Federal 215M primer.

I like RL-15 a lot in my .375. Good accuracy at about any charge level you like (74.0 gr. is max in mine with a 270-gr. Hornady) and it meters just beautifully. John
