I bought a Remington 375 H&H a few months back because it was the right price. I didn't like the composite stock on the rifle and ended up buying a nice laminated stock on-line. I had my gunsmith, Kevin Weaver, bed the action and put a 1" Pachmeyer recoil pad on it with the length of pull back at 13.5". I loaded up some rounds for practice and to get the gun on paper and close. My practice load consisted of 300 gr Hornady RN Interlocks, 52.3 gr IMR 4064, and a Fed 215 primer set at the recommended OAL. I topped the rifle with a Nikon Monarch 3-9x40 in Luepold QD rings and bases. Well, here is what I ended up with. The first shot was off paper about 8 inches to the left and 8 inches low (not shown). I moved the scope up and the right both 6 inches, which is the lowest shot on the lower left (2nd shot). I moved the scope up 1.5 inches, which is the shot directly above the previous (3rd shot). For the 4th shot, I moved the the scope to the right 1.5", which was one of the shots on the black line just above the "10". My buddy Snellstrom shot next which is the shot to the upper right. I followed up with two more shots to compelete the 3 shots in the middle about 3/4" high. Not too shabby for only having 7 shots down the tube and already a 0.340" MOA group at 100 yards. I might like this rifle!!! Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

Is the your listed powder charge of 52.3gr of IMR 4064 correct??? The reason I ask is that in a couple of my loading manuals the starting charge is @61 or 62 grains. I load light loads in my 375 H&H with IMR 3031 for deer and pigs, and they work great, it is just that I have heard of people having problems if they start out with too low a powder charge. The 52.3 gr is the starting load in Hornady's #8 manual. Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."
