Odessa, The 225 is a good chambering with only one real drawback, the lack of readily available brass. If you have a stash of brass or a source of brass it is a good caliber for varmints in an accurate rifle. I built a 225 years ago on a 1909 Argentine with a wiseman barrel and it is one of the most accurate rifles I own. MC

Odessa, I have a 1967 22 inch standard barrel M70 that has been shot very little. I load 33.5grs. of Varget and a 55gr. Moly coated Nosler Ballistic tip. It averages 3615fps. and prints in the low 6's consistently. You can find brass at shows every once in a while just keep your eyes open.
