I just ordered a M70 in .225 Winchester. Would be interested in knowing if any of you guys have one and are reloading for it or have ever reloaded for one. What where your experiences? Thanks, Odessa

Odessa,

The 225 is a good chambering with only one real drawback, the lack of readily available brass. If you have a stash of brass or a source of brass it is a good caliber for varmints in an accurate rifle.

I built a 225 years ago on a 1909 Argentine with a wiseman barrel and it is one of the most accurate rifles I own.

Odessa,
I have a 1967 22 inch standard barrel M70 that has been shot very little. I load 33.5grs. of Varget and a 55gr. Moly coated Nosler Ballistic tip. It averages 3615fps. and prints in the low 6's consistently. You can find brass at shows every once in a while just keep your eyes open.
