I take a 6 month break from loading my 338-06, and the next thing I know my favorite bullet for it (for lighter game) has been discontinued. What gives? The 180 accubond is a a fine bullet, but is more $ than I care to practice with for a mere whitetail or blackbear...

Back to the Hornady 200 I guess...

I really don't think the Hornady 200 grainer gives up anything to the 180 Nosler...I love Ballistic Tips, but I have been impressed with the 200 grain Hornady and even more impressed with its pricing...

I used to use the 180. Switched to the 200. I only lost about 75FPS and almost no increase in bullet drop more weight and higher BC. I pick up 2nds for about $10 for 50. Never had any problem with them.

As usual just my $.02
