Can anyone direct me to a drawing of the .458 Lott cartridge online? THX, Crash

Crash, This might be close enough, just substitute the length of the winnie with 2.800 for the Lott http://www.reloadbench.com/cartridges/458wm.html //Jens

I do not have first hand experience with the Lott but I think MOL is 3.670. Do a search in the African section and a huge amount of info will be the result. Good luck with Your project //Jens [This message has been edited by jthessen (edited 01-07-2002).]

check out www.clymertool.com under reamer design - belted. COL is 3.60 for the Lott, but 3.65+ is nice if your magazine can handle it. Will has done this to a 550, I think the magazine is open to 3.65+. Don [This message has been edited by Don G (edited 01-07-2002).]

The CZ550 .458 Winchester I had would accept the Lott in the magazine with no alterations necessary. To convert the .458 Winchester CZ550 to .458 Lott, you can often get away with just running a Lott reamer in to deepen the chamber. If additional work is needed, it is usually very minor work on the rails and feed ramp to improve feeding.
