Hi to all
This is a question for all that manage exterior balistics .
If in any calliber, it dón´t matter which, you launch a bullet of "X" brand and weight at "Y" velocity.
Mantaining the same brand and weight(so the same BC)and the same velocity ,you can shot it with any combination of powder brass and primer ,taking care that velocity is the same.
The path of the bullet are always the same?
So if I could maintain the velocity and bullet in a rifle I can use any combination of powder and prime and get same point of impact.
Thanks to the responses , the ballistic tables are based in this principle.

ideally yes, but different powders "peak" at different times and the even if the velocity would be the same the pressure push on the bullet will differ

It's drop and windage, relitive to the line of the bore at exit, will be the same but that dosn't mean that the point of impact will be the same. The end of your barrel is moving at the time the bullet comes out, where it is in that movement is going to control where the bullet goes.

It's not the external ballistics that are changing, but the internal ballistics and how they effect the harmonics of your barrel.

We wish it was as easy as "match the velocity", match the accuracy.

No! Point of impact can change with barrel resonance which can chage with various powders. Depends where the tip of your barrel is when the bullet is releast. beerroger

Thank´s for your answers.
So the variables that determine where your shoot impacts with velocity the same are:
.-if the bullet when exit the barrel are under pressure gaining velocity or not.
.-Where the bullet is seated in relation with the lands and aligned with the center of the barrel or not ,changing the harmonics of the barrel.
.-The same about the harmonics and the moment it exit de barrel depending thetype of powder you use.
I dont take care of the wind an presure outside because in this example we supose that are the same .
