Does anyone use the liquid Birchwood Casey Case Cleaner? I recently read an article that said it did a great job and only took about 3 minutes. Thanks.
Try this, i got it from the nra. Mix in plastic container. 1 pint water, 1 cup white vinegar, 1 tbl. spoon salt, 1 tea spoon detergent (wisk). shake add brass, shake 5 min. rinse and dry. DO NOT LET BRASS SOAK, THIS MIX WILL EAT AND WEAKEN THE BRASS.I for got and left a container sit for 24 hrs, brass looked ok but when fired, necks seperated at the shoulder on some rounds.

I have the following as a home remedy: put a cup of white vinager and a half cup of lemon juice and a 1/4 cup detergent and a 1/8 cup salt to a quart of water.... Ray
Mike, I use the Birchwood Casey case cleaner from time to time, and it works very well. I add the appropriate amount to hot water in a plastic bucket, and let the cases soak for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then I pour the case cleaner mix into a plastic 1-gallon jug, using a funnel with a screen in the bottom. I dump the brass from the funnel back into the bucket, and pour in fresh water for rinsing. I change the rinse water a couple times, then stand the cases up on paper towels for drying (about 24 hours). It's very effective for cleaning out the inside of the cases, which I like because the Hodgdon's Lil'Gun I use in my .22 Hornet cases is very sooty. Regards, George.
Zulu Mike: If I use H2O for cleaning, I rinse the brass thoroughly with hot water and mild hand aggitation in a largish plastic peanut butter container. Then a drop or two of dishwasher soap- mild movement again for a couple minutes. Couple hot rinses- and your done. Spread'm out on an old bath towel, then into the 200 degree oven for a final dry- maybe 15 minutes with a shake midway.
