I'm looking for some 155 and 160 loads for the 260 Rem.

I have a 9" twist, will these stablize well enough for moa accuracy?

Would Re 22, 7828 or Magpro work for this bullet weight?

Also, Do any here have any experince with these bullets on

moose, elk, and bear?

Sierra claims their 6.5 160 will penetrate both shoulders of a moose and that their bullet was made for the european market. Does this hold up?

How about the Lapua 155 Mega and Norma 155 Oryx?

How would they compare to one another. Both seem excelent

but the Lapua is a lot less expensive.

Thank you

prescott:

The Hornady 160-grain RN with 41 grains of IMR 4350 for around 2330 fps stabilizes fine in my Remington Model Seven's 1:9 twist barrel and is accurate to boot.

prescott, sierra list several 160grn loads for 1:9 twist. you can go to hodgdon's or alliant's or vithvoury's websites to get the load data. can't comment on your other questions as only shoot 120 grns in my .260 pretty much just a target gun now have taken deer with the 120 prohunter at 250yds dropped in its tracks.

good luck
