I need to make up some blanks I have taken the
shot out of some factory loaded 12 gauge and
replaced it with wax and recrimped it does
anyone that is familiar with shotshell reloading
think this is stupid

I don't think it is stupid. What are you using them for? They could be harmful (or even deadly) if shot at someone. Jim

Wasn't Bruce Lee's son killed this way?

Is the primer loud enough? You might be able to take eveything out of the shell. That would be about as safe as you could get. (of course the 4 laws still apply!)

Anything that comes out of the barrel is potentially lethal.

That includes the wax, the wad, and if close enough, the powder.

You wanna make noise? Buy an old metal stew pot and a wooden spoon...
