dob,
that's awesome shooting. where do you get that range, here in town? do get out to pdog towns much? new to the area, and willing to kill some vermin. do you shoot at deer creek or deep creek? what have you had done to your ruger? what scope do you have on it? thanks for the info, interested in your .243 experience. how many barrels did you go thru to get that load? later, nated

Nated I have 3 different 243s,and eaqch have taken some long hours at the range to get where iam at know I shoot at the deer creek range at least every week.when i go p-dog hunting i go over the mountains to Lavina Mt. the things ive done to my ruger varmiter are ive lapped the lugs and polished the bore with J-B bore compound{3000}hans stroks this takes some time I also only shoot moly coated bullets. the load of 40 gr 4895 is about .5gr under min in the nosler manual , but as many bench rest shooters will tell you most loads shot at matches are at the lower end. I have tryed just about every combination of power and bullets there are. if you want more info e-mail me @ mangut@aol.com Bill
