In my experience under sized cast bullets lead the barrel and cylinder. So I've found all of my 45 Colt firearms are fed .454 sized cast bullets.
Most of the copper plate 45 caliber bullets are sized .451, not very condusive to accuracy.
Does any one have experiemce with these under sized plated bullets.

Are They Speer.
I got 500 of them in 38 spcl. and I am getting fair accuracy with my 4" and 6" barreled revolvers out to about 30yrds.
I had to roll crimp the 38spcl. to keep the bullet in place.

I've had real good luck with accuracy loading Berry's 230gr RN in my 1911. Loaded with 6.0gr of Unique and OAL of 2.650", and tapered crimped to .471".

Gents, Thank you.

With my Python using 125 grain copper plated, using 4.5 grain of bullseye to be very accurate out to 25 yards. The indoor range is 25 yards, I will find out more when I truck out to the out door range.
Ranier makes a 300 grain copper plated 45 bullet but the sized it .451, which I guessing that it will produce less then stellar accuracy out of a 45 Colt Rossi 92.
I've tried 200 grain copper plated SWCs in my S&W model 25, 45 auto rim, at best they formed a large pattern at 15 yards.
Both of the fire arms mentioned have proved to be excellent using cast bullets of the same weight and style in the past. The major difference is the smaller diameter of the copper plated.
The reason I'm changing to copper plated is the indoor range will not permit plain lead alloy bullets..
