I posted this here too because the reloaders are into everything. [Wink]
Thought some of you might like these pics.
A collection of many cartridges he collected over his life after comeing back from the war. [Smile]

He won "best non-gun" the two times he displayed them publically at gun shows here. Not sure how his compares with other collections around the world but he does it for a hobbie and enjoys it.

Anyone that wants to contribute a dummy cartridge and info about it he may not have can email me and I'll see if it's one he has already and get back with you. Wildcats, bigbores, military... he would love anything he doesn't have currently. [Smile]

My Grandmother just passed away recently, and getting a cartridge or two in the mail from someone he's never met is just something else I thought would help lift his spirit some more. I am not telling him about this here. He'll just wonder where they came from. [Wink]

Thanks for any responses guys. [Smile]

WOW! What a collection. As a relative novice, I'm sure I can't add anything to his collection, but good luck in your search.

A fabulous collection! I have a lot of empty cases and loaded ammo, but looking at that collection, I'm convinced I haven't got anything he hasn't!!

Hey guys, I think you'd probably be surprised at all the cartidges out there, he does have alot of most every type but, I gave him my 416wby a few years ago, the 338/378wby, 338/416 Rigby Imp, 6.5WSM, 470 Capstick, 30/338 Lapua Imp, the WSM line and he recently got the Lazzeroni line up too. There's quite a few he doesn't have, that you'd at least think he would have had for a while anyway. Meating the right guy, at the right time, with the right cartridge is alot of what it comes down to. Just guessing but, I'd bet there's a quite a few DGR, wildcat, or just plain recently developed cartridges he does not have. What would be cool, and I should have done to begin with, is to take the pics up close enough that you all could see what you have that's "not there", looking at the display at a distance like that just doesn't do it justice anyway. Most of the stuff there, if you could see them up close and see the cartridge names on them, you'd be just blown away by most everything in there! The response I've gotten on this is just simply amazing guys. I'll see what I can do to get the close up shots. I've got a lot of possible contributions from people that I need to go over and see if he has yet. [Eek!] [Smile] [Smile] I appreciate the response guys, I know he'll be simply astonished! [Wink]

WOW!!!

Brent
Can you get him hooked up and online. That guy would be right at home, shooting the breeze on the AR forums, with 8 or 9000 of his new buddies.

Jeeeese!! [Eek!]
Looks like this is a man I sure could have spendt some hours with!!! [Big Grin]
He is WAY ahead of me with his collection, and I doubt I ever get so many here in Norway (almost everybody has 30-06, 308 Win, or 6,5x55 [Frown] ).
But I'm still trying. I'm still quite young [Roll Eyes] .

It would have been nice to see what he have, so maybe I could help him with some old Norwegian ones. I belive he has everything else I have in my collection.
But you could show him my list, and let me know if there is any he dont have on there.

Have you inventoried his collection? If members here knew what he already has, maybe they would know what to send.
Ditto the idea of getting him online.

All who have emailed me with cartridge contributions;

I didn't figure close up pictures, so you could read the cartridge names on them were too feasable, there would just have to be way too many... at least I'm guessing anyway. I may try it to see how they show up after uploading some of them on Image Station.

I did get a complete list of all the cartridges in his collection that I'll post on Image Station. The list is 21 pages long but, I'll post a link to them when they're finished uploading. I'll email a link to all you gents that have sent me emails too.

He's not too interested in the online stuff, believe me I tried, sorry guys. [Frown]

Thanks so much. [Smile] [Smile] [Smile] I'm glad you all liked it. [Smile]

Here's a link to an album that contains a list of cartridges he "does have." It's a good read, real interesting stuff in there.
