If you can get one that emits an audible noise.....get it! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Winston Churchill

That would be awesome. I've got the Hornady powder cop which works great when you look at it, the problem is after 10 or 15 rounds I end up not paying attention. An audible unit would be great. If anybody knows of one compatible with the Hornady progressive press please post the name up, I would like to purchase one.

The RCBS lockout die will stop the press operation if it senses an incorrect powder charge. I have seen the Dillon audible powder check set up on LNL AP, but it took a bit of trimming of the frame to clear the downrod that senses the shell plate location. Andy

The choice is not either or, the lock-out die is designed for straight wall cases, the powder checker die is designed for bottle neck cases, to me there is no conflict, I do not use Dillon dies that seat on one position and crimp on the next, I crimp and seat on one position, I have two Piggy Back 11s presses that have 5 position tool heads, the Dillon 550B has 4.
