Now that's an interesting idea. I was toying with the idea of a 416 Barnes the other day. It should be able to get a 400gn bullet to 2100fps safely. Does anyone make a drop in stock for the Nagant so they wouldn't be quite so B*TT ugly? I ordered a .475 barrel from Bauska, but I called them back this week to see how it was going and Steve told me that they don't have a .475 button. He was going to send the check back, but I thought I might as well get a different caliber barrel to play with. I ordered the .475 Blank from Montana Rifleman.

That would be COOL! Will the Mosin Nagant magazine well accept a cartridge with the girth of the 50-110? It is about 0.055" bigger in diameter than the 7.62X54R, isn't it?

Have welder, chopsaw, mill, files....

It would be a mearcy killing to rip out the factory magazine and put something different in it's place.

It would be cool for something to shoot, but I'm thinking that the saftey mechanism wouldn't be suitable for use on anything that could bite.
