Hello.
I'm about to bye me an S&W .460XVR mag,8.3/8 barrel. But i can't find reloading data for this one with Vitauvori powders. Anyone here who can help???? I will use Starline shells, and 200grs to 395grs bullets. Both lead and copper bullets. They don't sell Hogdon powders in Norway, so i have to drive over to Sweden if i want some of it. (Will drive if neseseraly clap)

There are a couple of possibilities:

1. H110 is the same as Winchester 296 so if you can get Winchester powders, you substitute W 296 for H110 in loads.

2. The 460 S&W is a lengthened 454 Casull case so Vihtavuori loads for the 454 would be safe in the 460. If I were working up loads, I would probably start in the mid range 454 loads and carefully work the loads up.

With lower pressure loads, you can expect a fair amount of unburned powder in the barrel. As you work it up, there will be less unburned powder and more flash and bang. Of course, watch for pressure signs as usual (sticky cases, primer cratering, etc.).

Thanks.
We don't have Winchester powder her in Norway, but i can get them also in Sweden if i need to. Will try to work me up with the .454 loads with VV powder, to see if i can use the chrono to point me in the right direction.
