I just began reloading today! I have a few questions that I would appreciate some help with. First, rounds loaded with my full sizing die are being dented just below the shoulder. What is causing this? Second, I seated a couple of rounds 1/16th of an inch too deep with the starting load. Are these going to be unsafe? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help! Do you recommend one of those lube pads? I was just putting the lube on with my fingers per the manual.

A way to stop denting from too much lube, is to wipe each case off lightly with a shop rag before sizing.. Instead of case lube.. I use an old frying pan, and WD 40 to lube my cases... and then tumble them after resizing to take the lube off... cheaper, easier, and less messy.. I use a lube pad. For me, its easyer, simpler, no over spray waste or mess. I wipe them off with a rag after also

Haven't you guys heard of Imperial Sizing Wax? It's MUCH less messy than a lube pad and a little bit on your fingers goes a very long ways.
