I'm loading for 308 Norma Magnum and would appreciate any shooters with experience with this cartridge advice on their pet loads. Being in Australia, we have only ADI (Australian defense Industries) powder who make powder and export it to the US which is repackage under Hodgson (see http://www.adi-limited.com/handloaders-guide/equivalents.asp ).

I'm using 150gr and above projectiles.

Magnum

One of my best .308 Norma loads used the Nosler 200-grain Partition bullet and 73 grains of Hodgdon H4831 powder. It had a MV of just about 3000 FPS. I later slowed this bullet down to reduce recoil by using 68 grains of IMR 4350, which I understand is a bit faster than Hodgdon's version of 4350. This load gave 2880 FPS, which is plenty with a 200 grain bullet.

The .308 Norma is one of the very finest of the .30 caliber magnums, if not the best one of the bunch!!
