I'm looking for a source for 20mm brass. can anyone help? roger

Gee Rog, if this were 1970 and we were in Thailand I could fix ya up with truck loads of brass. Too bad it ain't and we ain't.

On second thought I don't know whether I could go that again. We left tons of brass over Laos and Cambodia on the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

The Air Force goes through periods of snootiness when it comes to Brass.

Their excuse? "It might fall into the wrong hands". More politically correct bullcrap.

Sometimes it can be purchased through Government Property Disposal Sales at Military Installations. BUT you might have to purchase in really large quantities. Brass is at a premium these days as you well know.

Being ours was electrically primed might pose another problem.

Our 20's worked great. They caused a lot of Truck Drivers to permanently retire.

All USAF 20mm (also US Navy & USMC) ammunition designed for use in M61-A1 Vulcan (primarily M55/PGU-27 and M56/PGU-28) is electrically primed. This is the 20x102mm case.

What 20mm brass your looking for can make a bid difference.
Just from the US military I can think of 4 different 20mm cartridges, and than there are those that are/have been used by other countries over the years.

US 20mm cannon rounds
20x110 Orliken
20x110 Hispano-Suza
20x110 AKA 20-60HMG (experamental)
20x102 (current, decended from the 20-60 HMG)

For what my son-in law will be using it for it doesn't really matter. roger

In that case, he'd probably be better off looking for the "common" 20x102.

Side note, the Orlikin brass has a rebated rim

IIRC Ed Huble is trying to corner the market on 20x110 HS brass, for his 8ga From Hell project
