Be carful using other than barnes bullets when using data from the barnes manual #3. Their bullets are softer and don't generate as much resistance in the barrel as some other bullets. This causes higher pressures even with minimum loads.

Actually, in my experience, the Barnes bullets generate higher pressures than other bullets given all the same variables. It takes more initial resistance to engrave the solid copper projectile into the rifling than a jacketed bullet, hence the higher pressures.

Bobby hit it on the head.

Barnes #3 is fraught with dangerous load data and should have been jerked from the shelves. I'm a diehard X bullet fanatic,but there are major mistakes.........
