The .308 size from MidWay is what I use you have to be careful not to break the styrofoam the first time you put them in but after they have been in there a while they fit fine.

Not the answer you're looking for but

if you spring for a couple of bucks you can buy a permanent plastic box that will hold 50.

That's what I did for my SMs. The 50s or the 20s work great.

You can use the Magnum cardboard boxes from midway and figure out what type of spacer to use on the bottom of the tray. I also like to pick up WSM factory boxes out of the garbage can at the range. I prefer to think of it as alittle better than full on dumpster diving Smiler

Yea I have slip cases too , But the WSM's are so short and the cases has stops that only let you slide the lid down so far , so it ends up being way taller than it needs to be with the lid on ,so I will hack the nubs so the lid will slide down all the way .

With a rag apply a very small amount of laquer thinner on a case and then insert it in the foam....the thinner will melt the foam but be carfull to not use to much thinner. The #9 box's I have my WSM's in loosend up in time....I have personaly never tried the thinner trick I mention above.

Make you own. If you already have the kind/size of box you want. I would carefully open up the glue seam, flatten the box out on a new piece of same weight bristol board card board and trace out the box pattern a bunch of times. The cut out the template with scissors ruler and exacto blade knife. Score/crease the edges to be folded with very dull knife (don't actually cut the card board). Fold it up and glue the seam.

As for the styrofoam insert, salvage waste packing styrofoam from your new 50" flat screen Sony TV or by some hard construction grade styrofoam insulation board cut it to size on table saw and use a drill press at high speed to bore out the holes for the cartridge cases.

Call Hornady see if they will sell some pre stamped/cut out boxes with no label printed on it yet and the cartridge holder insert. Fold up the boxes your self and glue the seam. They would probably do it or at least put you on to the box making company they use.
