Looking for the shortest 100gr 25 caliber bullet for my 250 Savage. I know there are issues with stabilizing the longer bullets in this caliber do to the 1-14 twist. So who makes the shortest one?

i`d call both Sieera and Speer and see what the lenght of their 100 gr flat base spitzers are. I am not sure but I believe one of these two is likely as short as you will get with out going to a RN style.

Nash I noticed tonight while loading some .257 Roberts that the Remington 100 gr. Core Lockts are very short yet they maintain a Spitzer profile. Just in case you are still looking.

Snellstrom, thanks. Ive tried the Speer 100gr, but was not happy with the results. Might have to try some Remingtons.

What range are you shooting at? Do you need a spitzer shape? A RN might work for you, and they are typically much shorter than a spitzer of the same weight.

The RN would be a good option for 200 and under yd shots if you can find one. I no of no one at the pressent that makes them. There are 117/120 gr RN offerings out there but 100 will be difficult to obtain.
According to Speers # 13 manual, their 120 gr SP will work in the 250 Savage. The test rifle they used had the same 1/14 twist your has. I would try a couple different 100 gr bullets at various COL and see if I couldn`t get one to shoot. Actually the heavier ones will do on game at 200yds and may be a better choice in the long run.
