Looking for anyone who has loaded this powder under 139 grain bullets. What has worked for you and what kind of performance did you get? Mine will be for a Sendero with 26" barrel.

Big John,

My notes on this cartridge have not showed since I took my reloading stuff out of storage. But I developed a load with 140 gr BT and 175 gr Partition. H-1000 worked good with the 175 gr bullet but was too slow for the 140s. I got the best results with the 140 grainers using IMR-7828 at published max. RL-22 should work good also with 139-140 gr bullets.

Saludos...Frank

Big John,

My favorite load for my 7 STW is Nosler 140gr Partitions or Ballistic Tips over 82gr of H1000. I average 3350 fps (measured on an Oehler) and get 3/4" 5 shot groups with the Ballistic Tips and 1" 5 shot groups with the Partitions. I have shot this load in temps from 55F to 100F with less than 30 fps change in average velocity and no change of POI.

In my experience tuning 2 Sendero 7 STW`s IMR7828 was the best powder for the 140`s. Tim H1000 would be great with 160`s

I've never used H1000 in my STW. THe first load I worked up was with IMR 7828 and 140gr Nosler Parititons. In my Sendero, I got 3365 fps and sub 3/4 in groups, so I quit while I was ahead [Big Grin] . This has worked for me on whitetails. I used a max load of 7828, Rem cases, and Fed. 215 primers. The only other powder I've experrimented with is H870 with 160gr and 175 gr bullets.

IMR 7828 also outperformed H1000 for me with 139 grain SST.

H1000 worked well with 154 grain Hornady.
