I was messing around at the range today finishing off a box of Hornady 450 Bushmaster ammo so I can start playing with handloads. I want to try and duplicate the factory 250 gr. FTX load in addition to a couple of others. I have 225 gr FTX and 250 gr. XTP bullets to play with later. I heard the thin jacketed pistol bullets really fly apart and give dramatic expansion, which will be fun for plinking and ricochet reduction. Anyway, her are a couple of back to back 3 shot groups with the 16" bbl 450 Bushmaster upper using a 3-9X40mm Leupold Ultimateslam with the SaBR reticle. For the real testing later and a final factory ammo test, I will be using more powerful glass (6.5-20X50mm Conquest). This might shrink up the groups a little. At any rate, I think some of you may be impressed with a plain ol' factory Bushmaster upper in a ridiculous .45 cal straight walled case fired in a short barreled, brass belching, magazine fed, semi-auto off a bipod. (For those of you that may have missed the post in the pig hunting section, this is the same rifle I've been murdering hogs with all summer.)
