Stuck case removers???
What do you recommend for ease of use and strength? to work with a reloading press..

My old RCBS one gave up and broke the threads off and no longer in production..

Forester makes one but will it work with other dies?

RCBS makes one that appears to be slow to operate? but I never used one a whole lot so Ive gone to AR for suggestions..

I know you can do it on a lathe, but too much trouble for me,,

First let me say. I have never owned a stuck case remover. I have seen a few dies that were destroyed using a lot of different methods.
I plug the primer hole with a screw. install a zerk (grease fitting) after removing the expander.
I had one case that was separated about the pressure ring, ground down a bolt and applied some super glue shoved the bolt up into the brass let it dry pumped it full of grease and out came the stuck case.

Just drill and tap the case head for 1/4x20 bolt.

Find a tube the allow the case to travel in OD smaller then bolt head place over the case. screw bolt into case head. Tighten bolt till then case pulls free.

I use washers; no tubes. Don't have no tubes.

I just use Imperial Wax case lube, then you never have stuck cases Big Grin

Prior to using Imperial I did have a stuck case in a die when using RCBS case lube. Just used the drill and tap primer pocket and washer method. Works perfectly.

While grease pressure would work, can't see how you can remove the expander from a case stuck in a F/L sizing die if the case is stuck with the neck in the neck sizing portion of the die??

I drill and tap the primer hole. Use a bolt through a washer and a socket to pull against the bottom of the die. A couple of twists and I'm back in business.

It's almost always a case where I could feel there was not enough lube and yep, I was right.

They work fine also.

Hand applied lubes work fine for low volume reloading.

When processing thousands of cases for high volume shooting they are just to slow.

Never had a stuck case; I only remove those brought to me. I use Hornady in a tub. If I was loading thousands of rounds I would get carbide dies.

3/8" sockets also work

Case in question was primed, so the stuck case remover that comes in the top and pushes the case out by the stem of the die..He ordered me a stuck case remover to remove it, worked fine and gave me the die..takes about 5 minutes and no set up time.

if there's enough sticking out, good ole vise grips, turning not pulling, usually works

Use a Lee resizer die in the future. I believe they have a built in stuck case remover if the need exists.

I use a co-ax press to remove stuck cases. If that doesn't work then an RCBS unit

I got the RCBS unit. its cheap, fast, works on primed or not cases, easy to use...just like my old one. A handy tool thats seldom used but when needed, its damn handy, especially makeing brass from one caliber case to another..
