Will any good brass support a +P load for say 9mm? I have been using Starline brass for my reloads and was wondering if a +P load would required a special type of brass.

Thanks,
Steve

I seriously doubt you will find any difference between quality brass as to std & +P other than the head stamp.

As usual just my $.02

Starline brass- There is a difference in 45acp brass, the +P is thicker. If my memory is correct, 45acp is the only one. Check Starlines website, info there.

Thanks learned something new today. Starline does list their 45ACP as thicker in the web with 2grs less capacity. The rest of the +ps state only headstamp.

As for any good brass supporting a +P loading, you should always do this. Use a starting load and work up the powder charge. If you change a component to a different brand, start over. If your loading a midrange load, not maximum +P,than starting over should not be needed when a component is different.
