I have a M4 Colt w/ 1/7 twist,it won't handle the 55gr(and below) bullets well. I'm working with 68gr Hornady HPBT and 69gr Noslers with either Varget or Viht N-140 at 24grs. I'm not going great guns working up loads until I get a Trijicon on the rifle, still having fun just blasting with it. Mad

Jeff I used 26gr. of 748 with the Hornady 68gr. match and also with the 69gr. Sierra matchking in my AR-15 service rifle. I used the same 26gr. with 75gr. JLK but they were "long loaded" ie single shot only for 600yds. The 68gr. Might stabilize in your 1in12 but the heavier bullets will not. My Prairie dog load for my 223 was 23.5 gr. of IMR 3031 with a Hornady 55 gr. SX. This load shot good in a friends 1in12 twist 16 inch AR carbine. H-335 is the commercial version of WC 844, a powder designed specifically for the .223. I've had excellent luck with it using 50 to 55 grain bullets. WW 748 should also work fine. I'm not familiar with the two Accurate powders you mention, but they may be a bit on the slow side for this application. Check AA loading recommendations on those two (AA 2230 is virtually the same in buring properties as H-335 and would work beautifully).

For many the powder of choice in this bullet weight area is the H 335. Use a manual, or work up in your rifle using establish protocol. The results and knowledge will fair you well.
