for those who might be interested, MidwayUSA has .338, 225 gr, Xs on sale for about 1/2 price. $16.74 for 50 as opposed to the reg price of $29.82.

Barnes has several different lots of 225's out right now that have very different measurements to the ogive. 2 boxes I bought a couple months ago varied by .050. I worked up a load with one box and the other box loaded the same way wouldn't even chamber. If anyone orders some, make sure all boxes are the same lot number.

I bought 200. They came in Midway plastic boxes. The only difference from the regular Barnes boxed bullets is these have a crimping cannelure and the regular ones do not. I didn't stick one in an animal yet, but they shot well enough on paper out to 300 yards. I plan on buying more.
