Hey guys, Confused
I have an XP 100 chambered in 22 Rem BR that absolutely loves VitaVuori N130. It's been some years since I last shot it as I only shoot it for prairie dog hunting. I called my local handloading store today to check on price/availability and was shocked when he told me it had been discontinued. I've checked "Google" some, but haven't found anything definitive. Some internet stores (Midway and Sinclair, for example) show it as discontinued, while others (Eabco and Virgin Powder) show it available. I've sent an email to VihtaVuori asking the same question, but thought I'd check w/ y'all to see what y'all know (the only other time I sent VV an email, they didn't respond). Thanks.

Good luck and good hunting.

It would certainly not be good if VV discontinued N130 - probably my most heavily used powder.

My local supplier lists it as available, and so does http://www.powdervalleyinc.com/. Hopefully, that means it is still manufactured?

It is but a few years ago, that VV N133 was literally impossible to source in the US. Apparently, shipments to the US take place in bulk (containers), and a shipment is only done every so often. Let's hope the current (partial) in-availability is only temporary!

I don't know if it has been discontinued or not, but it forever for me to get one pound of it to try in my 30BR.

For what it's worth, it seems most people have the best luck with H4198 in the 30BR-- or at least you see that loaded in about 90% of the equipment lists in the NBRSA and IBS match results. One shooter who was robbed (IMHO) of a new world record in short range BE groups shooting has said he's been using Norma powder--one of the 200 series--but talk about hard to get!!!!!
I tried N-130 in mine mainly because if someone tells my XXX will not work I am just perverse enough to try XXX and see for myself-- I tried N120 too and N133--anything slower is really a waste of time---actually the powders other than H4198 were wastes of time but the 30BR barrel is like the energizer bunny it keeps going and going, so at least I did not waste a barrel--just my time of which I have loads........ Folks might look for N130 at Bruno or Champion Shooter Supply, too. Bruno or Graf and Sons usually have pretty good deals on VV powders-- especially in quantities over 8 pounds.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Glad to see Sinclair now has it in stock, but only in 1#. Graf and Sons doesn't show it in catalog at present. Bruno is out of stock. Champion, Powder Valley and VV only have it in 1#. If I have to order it, I'd like to get 8# keg. Will check Widener's as well. Any other suggested vendors? VV has not responded to my email. Read someowhere else on the 'net that VV130 is one of their less popular powders w/ limited shipments. Consequently, it's frequently not available. Don't know that for certain, but would explain things.

Good luck and good hunting.
