I have plenty of CCI 250 but would also like to try the FED 215. I have heard that they are the same, but al the tests show that the FED 215 are hotter ??
I have not had any problems with the CCI 250.
The test gave higher velocities with FED 215

Andre,
ya shoulda asked unka jeffe on this one, in particular.

I us milsurp (wc852 slow) in my 500 jeffe, and was getting hang fires... yes, folks HANG FIRES in a 500 jeffe... not those wait for jesus 30 second ones, but the "i pulled the tripper, heard the pin hit the primer, heard the primer cookBOOOOMM" hangfires....

with win LRM

switched to federal 215

not a problem since.

so, I will be using feds for anything over 100 grains of powder at 80+% load...

btw, the same kinda thing happened with published loads in the 577 nitro.... seriously... but these where the wait for jesus 5 to 10 seconds ones...

Thanks unka Jeffe

I actually got one hang fire last time with the CCI 250 but only half a sec I could hear the snap and then came the bang.
Why so shy with comments on my new bullets.
When I get then fully developed you can have some to test.
But you have to make a post my thread is getting the choke hold of silence.

Cheers,

Andr
