I shot a group today with the 140 gr Hornady BTSP. I used the Winchester LR Primers, REM brass and 58gr of RL22...

COAL was 3.250" Load was in the .3's! This was shot from a 26" barrel Ruger #1. I will find out the exact velocity next week with my chrono.

Anyone venture to guess velocity?

Maybe 3000fps, I use 58.5gr of RL-22 with a 150gr Nosler, get 3000fps from my 24" barrel, it shoot's under 1/2 moa.

Good to hear something worked for you POP. That is an excellent load. I tried it with 150 grain bullets and was not able to load it as hot as you did, but accuracy was good.

Pop, 60grs of RL-22 and a 140gr Nosler Accubond gives me ave velocity of 3063fps in a 24" Beretta Mato. 61grs of RL-22 and a 130gr Barnes XLC gives about the same velocity in a 20" Sako Finnlite. Both loads are MAX, and should be aproached with care........DJ

I meant Rel 22, since we were talking about Rel 22 in the 270.
Sorry for the confusion.
