Does anyone out there have any reloading experience with the 338 Jarrett. The 340 WBY info is helpful but maybe someone has some "secrets"

What's the case? Is it the 404? If so, look at RUM starting loads. If it's the STA, look there. Do you have a 338 Jarret? Also, try asking Jerret. Probably happy to tell you.

I had the same experience with Jarrett. I had a 243 Catbird built which he was a design contributor to. I e-mailed many times to request load data, ever offered to purchase it. Finally I got the response "If we didn't build it, you can't have it" Sure won't EVER buy one of his gazillion dollar guns. Not to mention I have been to my 'smiths on two different occations(2 different guns) were he was trueing up one of Jarretts "Fine Creations". This kinda attitude will only hurt buisness

Boomer...
I agree, Jarrett rifles will never see any of my money. I wrote a letter to Kenny Jarrett himself describing the encounter with his son, and another one of his employees and I never recieved a reply, very unprofessional business. Jarrett rifles has some buddies in the sporting magazine business and has gotten a lot of press, but I would dare say there is MANY other rifle builders that regularly build rifles equal to his at half the cost, or less. Oh well, I have stacks of Catbird load info and would be happy to share it with you.
