Hey guys, I am in the process of working up a load in my 308 win using a 165 gr. tsx. Anybody have load data? Hoping to get aroung 2800 fps.

I have not used the TSX, but have had good luck with the 165 Sierra GameKing and Varget. I use 45.5 gr Varget with CCI Primers and Win brass. This is a warm load so start lower and work up.

Molar, 2,800 with a 165 is pushing it in a 22" bbl... "maybe" with a 24" bbl.

I've used most of the "ideal" 308 powders and long ago settled on RL15. It gives slightly better speed than Varget with equally good (or better) accuracy. It's no wonder it's the US Military's choice for the 308.

2,750 should be your goal.
