Do any of you folks know where I can purchase 45/120 Brass for my long gun? I recently traded for this rifle and would like to shoot it, but don't have any bullets or brass yet.

Try Huntingtons in Oroville,Ca. May have to order .45 basic and trim to correct size. Also Midway sells Bertram brass and may have what you are looking for........Roy

Midway used to handle it. www.midwayusa.com. If I recall correctly they carried BeLL Mast or whatever they call themselves now.

T/Jazz: I get my 45-31/4 cases from Buffalo Arms and they're Bertram cases. The ones from Huntingtons are Norma and even though they are called "basic brass", they are not long enough for the 3 1/4" case. They are good for the 2 7/8" however. At least this was the situation several years ago. You'll have to full length size the new cases and be careful about it. They dent easily in the process. I gently feed the case into the die part way, back out then feed a bit more until I'm done. Be careful of too much lube too. After they've been fired, there isn't as much of a problem and I only neck size (read partial) after firing.
BTW, I use 110 grs. of Fg with a paper patch bullet cast 50:1, a grease cookie & 1/16" wad. Powder is compressed about 1/2" (yes, really). I can shoot an entire box of these from the bench with no problem. Vel is about 1386 fps. Hope this helps & good luck. Bear in Fairbanks
