Folks, I just noticed that my bullet pullers will not hold a .416 Rigby case ... no way they fit! Who makes a "magnum" sized puller and where might I find one? thanks,

MSTARLING: I use a collet type bullet puller from RCBS. You buy 1 body that screws into your press and then buy caliber specific collets. This is a lot better than the impact type bullet pullers. You can get all of these items directly from RCBS & their phone # for cust. service is 1-800-533-5000. The bullet puller without the collet is listed at $17.95 and is part #09440. A .416 cal collet is $9.95 and part # 09434. Talk to them & tell them what you need.Bear in Fairbanks

Hey mstarling, I like the RCBS collet style too. But, depending on how many loaded rounds you have, you may not need the collet. Put your Seating Die in the press and very slightly "Seat" the bullet a tiny bit farther to loosen the mechanical grip. When you do this, you may actually hear a small click. Unscrew the Seating Die and raise the Ram so the bullet extends through the top of your press. Grip the bullet with a pair of pliers and lower the Ram. The Bullet generally eases right out. If it is some kind of a high dollar Bullet and you are concerned about "scaring it", remove some of the "Duct Tape" from around your doors and windows and rewrap it around the jaws of the pliers. This has always worked well for me.
