Would someone with a Barnes manual please look up the max for IMR4198 and 50VLC 223 bullet. Thanks, H.H.

Horn-Harvester
Barnes Manual No3 does not show IMR4198 with the 50gr. VLC. in the 223 Remington.
However they do show it with the 50gr. XFB [the non-coated bullet]. The starting load of IMR4198 is 18.0gr. for 2788fps. The MAX load is 22.0gr. for 3407fps.
Hope this helps.

Thanks NE 450 No2,
I have always heard that you should load one grain more of powder for the coated Barnes bullets because it takes less powder to get them out the barrel. Just was wondering what the manual said. Thanks again, H.H.
