You could make money converting '06's and the like to your 400 PDK. Many would like to hunt DG in Africa, have an '06, but don't want to invest in a 375 just for one trip. How much would you want to convert an '06 to the 400 PDK and supply reloads or dies for reloading? Regards, AIU

Not me. First off Clinton took my FFL and I since I no longer do work for anyone I haven't needed one. Second for about 25 years I hand loaded for a fee. Young and stupid with only a little signed waiver letter covering my butt. Looking back I consider myself lucky that there was never a problem and someone didn't sue my a$$ off.

So this old man will not be in the gun building or hand loading for others business.

Ramrod, do you think the disbelieving people who've read this thread believe now that it's possible to load a 375 H&H to produce 5000 ft# of ME? Or, maybe these discussions change no minds at all, in spite of the facts - your thoughts. Regards, AIU

Well first off us old guys find it hard to change our mind. When most people think trying to get 5000 it is with a normal weight hunting bullet. Double tap claims to do it with a 235. Barnes has some loads they claim will do it. Looking at QL calculated pressures from some of the Barnes loads made my eyes water.

So yes maybe with a light bullet you might be able to reach 5000 with a normal H&H hunting bullet no (the Barnes my vote is still out)

So I say both sides might be right. Big Grin

Give me a 300gr H&H at 4800 over a 235gr at 5000 for my hunting with an H&H
