I went to the range the other day and shot some 7mm RemMag rounds that I had previously reloaded. Generally, I am anal about keeping data and write all the info on the case with a marker; however, (you guessed it) this time I did not. The groups were very good, and I'd love to duplicate the load, but cannot identify the bullet which I pulled and compared with ones I have on hand. It is not a Nosler Partition or Barnes bullet. It weighs 175 grains. It has a cannelure. It is an "un-protected" spire point and the gilding metal appears to be "scalloped" around the lead. None of the Hornady, Speer, Sierra, or Remington bullets that I have, have a cannelure and this scalloped point. They could be the last of an older group of Remington or Hornady 175gr bullets I had. I would appreciate it if someone has some older Hornady and Remington bullets, if you'd check them for a cannelure and "scalloping." I'll try and post a picture of this bullet ASAP, but I'd appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks. Kudude

Rem. CL usually have a small flat point & are not really a spire point but a spitzer. The Hornady has a decent amount of lead tip showing & is a true spire point. https://www.hornady.com/shop/?ps_session=bb64cd3656a2f0...37de4558caf588c48018 LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

That sounds like it could be a Winchester. Good luck Kudu, friar Our liberties we prize, and our rights we will maintain.
