I do a lot of hunting with my 300 WM in very cold weather. Do the Hodgdon extreme powders live up to their promise. How much difference do you see in temperature sensitivity between H1000 and RL 22.

Depends on the cartridge you use them in.

Sometimes they are insensitive, and sometimes they are as temperature sensitive as any other powder.

They are good powders, and I use them a lot, but they only live up to their advertising claims in a few very specific instances.

Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good.
