I have an older Pact Model 1 chronograph built in the 80's. Does anyone know where I can buy just the diffuser assemblies to go over my skyscreens? I've done net searches for them, but all I find are skyscreen bars and complete chronographs. I can't believe that no one shoots the diffusers. :-)
I've tried to call PACT for two days, but their phones just keep ringing and no one picks them up.

Thanks, but that's where I got their phone numbers to start with yesterday. I called three times yesterday and twice today, at 11:20 AM PST I called their (972) 641-0049 number and let the phone ring for 8 minutes, then I called their 1 800 number and let it ring another 6 minutes. I guess they don't like me.

Fjold- PACT is located down here in Dallas. We have been iced over for a couple of days now. When we get an inch or two of ice down here, this town SHUTS DOWN. I would imagine this is your problem. Give it another day or two. Hell, I'll call them for you and see if I do any better since I'm local.

Geez, I'm a moron. I've been seeing the ice on the news and never even connected it. I'll wait until the south thaws out and try again. I keep forgetting that the rest of the world isn't sunny and 70 degrees in February.

I have the same problem as you. I have an older model from the mid 80's. If I remember right, they didn't have diffusers then. Their subsequent models did and you have to buy new, what do they call them skyscreens?

Let us know if they can be retro fitted. Mine have always worked well enough. I just cheat and tilt the whole screen assembly to block out the glare and it works. Still, it would be nice to just set up and go.

PACT are good people to deal with. My old chronograph (80s) died and they just sent me a new one gratis. Anything electronic I need in the future will come from them if they make it.

OK Gents, DATELINE DALLAS: I called PACT and didn't get an answer either. The roads have cleared up quite a bit, so I'll try again later this morning. They could possibly be shut down 'till next week due to weather, but I doubt it. I want to ask some questions of my own, so it's no big hassle for me. I'll let you know what I find out.
