Anyone had any experience with the Oehler pressure testing set up?

Yep, the M-43 with strain gauge is a real tool and easy to use. The only trick is to get the gauge on correctly and get very good measurements of the chamber so you get accurate results. The kit comes with 5 gauges, get more up front.
Also, you will ruin the finish when you attach the gauge.

I've had very good results from my Oehler 43. Installing the strain gage takes a little time, but I now have strain gage's on five rifles. The only issue that I have is that I have yet to be successful in getting good pressure info from a short action Savage. The barrel nut does not allow installation of the strain gauge over the chamber area. The cartridge is the 7.82 Lazzeroni Patriot. Any suggestions?
