its agood choice 140gr sierras or 140gr hornady. I like the hornady. 53.7grs min to 60grs max. BR primers should do very well. I use those or 9 1/2 remingtons

I like the 140 Hornady BT with R22 and a Win WLR primer. ------------------------------------ The trouble with the Internet is that it's replacing masturbation as a leisure activity. ~Patrick Murray "Why shouldn`t truth be stranger then fiction? david, your primer choice is fine, I use about 57 grains of 4831SC behind this bullet, but have several loads with other bullets and RL-22, it is a great powder in the .270. I have found that this bullet is a little temperemental to seating depth, but when I hit that sweet spot--DAMN! Little bitty groups out of a couple different .270's, I've got one Sauer that will sling me into a neat little cloverleaf all day every day--I love it!

My .270 does not like RL-22 Neither does my 25,06. Its a great powder in other rounds I have loaded for though. My .270 likes H4831 and IMR 4350. I might try RL-19 somtime...tj3006 freedom1st
