Hornandy manual says to trim the cases .040 to use this bullet and then there is no data for this bullet under the 38 special. I do not want to trim the cases I'd rather load +p 38's for the wheel gun I have.

Unless your shooting them in a lever gun why would you use them.

Even then you not going to see much improvement in a 357 mag with them.

heard through the grape vine that they expand really well and thought they may would make a good hunting side arm, 8" barrel

Having shot and seen around 30 deer shot with 357 caliber guns 357mag and 357 max. 158g Rem sp.

Ones needs less expansion and more penetration.

Side to side shots no trouble but I wouldn't count on a hard angle shot.
