it amazes me the number of guys that don't realize you don't have to buy correct brass all the time. for instance 8x57 is the same case as 7x57 257 6.5x57 9x47 244 etc. just a difference in the case neck which is solver when sizing. a quick in a loading manual with show you which is which and possibly save you time is looking for a rare round or paying through the nose for something which is easily formed

I'm amazed at the number of otherwise "sophisticated" shooters who will look at the headstamp to figure out what caliber they are holding. I'd be trying to stuff a lot of .25-06 and .280 Remington into various .30-06 rifles if I depended on headstamps. And a lot of .20 Vartarg bullets would be bouncing down the barrels of my .221's.

I shoot a lot of .308 and .243 ammo through my 7mm-08, 300 RUM through my .338 edge, some .270 through my 30-06 and in a short while 6mm Dasher through a 6BRX. Big Grin
