I'm new to this forum....glad I found it.

I don't see much here about the 444 or 45/70.

I load and shoot a lot of 444. Are these not considered big bore on this forum?

Thanks for all the good info!

fxdwg98,

Welcome to tthe forum.

We usually stick to building bolt action rifles here, so have not had the chance to play around with these two except in a T/C Contender.

They are certaibnly big bores, and I am sure you will find someone here who is using them.

fxdwg98,

Welcome. The 45/70 gets a lot of discussion, the 444 not so much.

Great---

I hope to find some 444 freaks here.

I am also interested in geting a 416 at some point in the near future just for fun and there seems to be some great discussion on that here.

What is the cutoff caliber between big bores and smaller bores on this forum site?

Thanks again!
