I loaded up some 165 Nosler Ballistic Tips for my 30.06 at 3.230 using Hornady COAL for the 165 BTSP which I have shot through my rifle without issue. I found new information stating Nosler recommends 3.340 for the Ballistic Tip, any issue with seating them a the 3.230 depth?

Taht would be news to me. My Nosler manual says the Industry std OAL is 3.34" but optimum accuracy is usually achieved with slightly longer length. While 3.23" would work fine I'd bet you a cup of coffee that you would get better accurcy at 3.34" plus. Just off the lands or as long as your mag would allow which ever is longer.
As usual just my $.02 Paul K

Thanks guys for the help. My previous load in a Rem ADL was 3.230 and yielded the best accuracy. I have a new ADL I'm using the same COAL to start with. I bet you are correct that it will need to be seated out longer. Thank you both.
I would make up a dummy round by seating your bullet progressively deeper until the bolt closes with the bullet ogive just touching the rifling orgin. Then seat about 0.015" deeper. That usually give me good accuracy and insures no pulled bullets if a chambered round is removed without firing. Of course, deeper seating might be required to function through the magazine.
