Just started reloading and am working up loads for two pre64 win and a pre Garcia Sako each in 30-06. All are using fire formed cases. However, I noticed when attempting to trim the brass formed in the Sako that the neck did not extend out of the sleeve (Wilson trimmer) but the two pre 64 did. I suppose this means the chamber for the Sako is larger and the shoulder is moving forward when shot? Is this a problem?

All three rifles cases do measure within spec at 2.49 give or take. What are your ideas on the Sako cases/chamber?

I really don't think so.....it may be for your particulaqr reloading equipment but I can see no unsafe or necessary out of spec condition here.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am using a Dillon 550B and have had no problems with the function relative to these cases.

Now if I could just get the damn Sako to shoot. Am trying the 180 gr TSX with 55-57gr of H4350 ath around .04 to .07 off lands. So far two or three group and then a left fielder. Suppose this is the FUN part of reloading?

The two pre 64's doing quite nicely with 150 gr MRX and 168 gr TSX. I did take the nut screw out on the one shooting the 168's and the group came in very nicely. Think I will just throw away the useless screw!
